Have a really good breakfast in the morning and then get ready for the river, some of the runs we will be kayaking are full day runs and we will enjoy lunch in the river and then in the evening we will visit our best trusted restaurants at night to enjoy the best of the Ecuadoriancuisine !!. Tena offers some good night lifetime and some really good cocktails!!. check out the menu at the Guayusa Lounge . Dank!!
We have two seasons in Ecuador's jungle rainy and very rainy, the drier season is generally November to February but varies by region the itinerary of the trip is subjected to changes due to precipitation and water levels, we will paddle the Quijos river drainage and in the Tena area for class III & IV trips, we may include the Baños area for the class V tours.
Quijos and Baños area has a very spring like weather, around the 6000 feet above sea level cool at night and warm during the day, water can be a little cold coming from the highlands (paramos), no many bugs here. Down towards the amazon basin in the Tena area 1500 feet elevation nice and hot during the day, normally has a warm, humid and rainy climate. The average temperature varies from 23° to 26°C [72° to 80°F] skin to the wind paddle weather, even the shorty top can be much, but it keeps water out of your boat, sunscreen is highly recommended to have when in Ecuador.
